As a *sort of* restaurant it makes sense that you might have some questions…
Let us try and answer them!

We take a limited number of reservations for dinner only. You can book via Tock for parties of 1-6 people. Parties larger than 6 should email hello@westerlycanteen.com.
We accept reservations up to one month in advance, and can not guarantee same day reservations.
Due to our small size, we only hold tables up to 15 minutes after your reservation time. Your table is yours for 90 minutes.
We do our best to keep tables open for for walk ins, so if you don’t have a reservation, or we cannot accommodate your reservation on your desired night, please don’t feel deterred to come in!

We offer two kinds of service from our Airstream Kitchen- window (during lunch) and full table service (during dinner).
During lunch, you can come up and place your order with us at the kitchen window.
At night we level up our hospitality and take your order table side. Check in with our team when you arrive and we will get you seated. You can peek inside the airstream and watch us cooking away, but please do not try and place an order with one of our cooks.

We love a party! Please reach out if you plan to come in more than 6 people. Our favorite way to cook + eat is family style. For large groups we offer a family style menu that highlights the best of what we’re cooking that week, at a set price per head.
For parties of 6 or more, we reserve the right to include a 20% gratuity charge with your bill.
For a party party check out our events page for more info on private events and catering!

We serve ingredient driven, Hudson Valley fare. Our food is unfussy and rustic, rooted in traditional and intuitive cooking practices. Our weekly changing menus rely on hyper-local sourcing, but are inspired by California cookery, and a greater global palate. We cook with the produce and meat that is available to us from the farms we trust to work with in the area. All produce, meat, and dairy come from the Tricorner region, and all fish is line or trap caught from NY, MA, CT, and RI.
There is an undeniable west coast influence, hence our name, and while the language falls short, it is earnest farm to table cooking. The best thing to do is come and try for yourself! We do our best to post our weekly menus here.

We are! We’re lucky enough to be partnered with Tenmile Distillery, where there is a beautiful indoor space for you to enjoy should the weather turn on us. We have very effective space heaters both indoors and outdoors to keep you cozy at whichever table you dine.
Due to our small staff size, we prefer to keep our dinner service contained to either indoors or outdoors, but check in with us and we’ll do our best to accommodate location requests.
In extreme circumstances, we also have the option to move our full service inside to the distillery kitchen. This means we are fully open rain or shine, summer and fall!
All dinner reservations are automatically made for the patio- your primary dining room. However, we will relocate your party inside in inclement weather.

We are major animal people and as an outdoor dining option, we do have the good fortune to allow dogs. However, dogs are not allowed inside the distillery. So in inclement weather or if you prefer to dine indoors, please leave your four legged friend at home. Dogs must be kept on leash at all times. If your dog does not behave well in public, is aggressive to other dogs or people, we kindly ask that you opt to leave your dog at home.
